I think I might know what the problem is, the reason you don't find them anywhere is probably because you have only been to the wrong stores that don't sell macarons. Even though macarons are very popular worldwide, but not every pastry shop will have them, most pastry stores in France will have them. The most famous French patisserie that sell macarons is Ladurée, they are famous worldwide for their macarons, they have many stores in Europe, Asia, America, Australia etc, I love Ladurée, their macarons are some of the best in the world There's also Pierre Hermé who is probably the most famous French pastry chef in the world, he used to work for Ladurée but now he has his own pastry shops and his macarons are awesome too, he has many stores worldwide. Some of my other fav French pastry chefs are Vincent Guerlais, Antoine Santos, Jean-Paul Hévin and Christophe Michalak, they all have their own chain of pastry shops in France, some of them also have stores in other countries.
I also love Sadaharu Aoki and Kazunori Ikeda, they are Japanese pastry chefs but they specialise in French sweets and they have their own stores, Aoki has stores in Paris, Japan and Taiwan.

In order to find macarons outside France, you need to find pastry shops or patisseries that specialise in making and selling French-style sweets or at least sell some French sweets, because most pastry shops that sell macarons outside France are usually French-owned or they specialise in French sweets, and alot of these shops tend to be more expensive high-end patisseries or bakeries. They are less common in cheaper lower-end shops.
I think the easiest way to find macarons is to search on google to find shops that sell macarons in your country, I personally recommend the Ladurée stores, or shops owned by any of the pastry chefs I mentioned above, they all sell macarons and they all have their own websites so you can check them out and find out where their shops are.

Of course these are just a few examples, there are so many pastry chefs in the world who make French sweets it's hard to name them all.

Interesting. When I've watched "Sailor Moon" I had not found it "draggy" or dragging. It's been a while though. My favourite is Sailor Mars.

It felt slow especially compared to modern anime like the new sailor moon (or others).

As for the pastry shops, yeah perhaps I have been in the wrong ones.

sweets!

i guess at the time when i first watched it as a kid-teenager i don't mind it as much that the original series was slow. something i watched daily after school. now with Crystal, we have a comparison and also i watch it now as an adult. i prefer a more straight forward series.

I agree with you on that, I remember when I was a little girl growing up watching the original 90s anime, it didn't feel draggy at the time for me, maybe because we didn't really have anything else to compare it to, there was the original manga, but comparing a manga to an anime is very different, it's like comparing apples to oranges. But now that we have Crystal which is much shorter without all the fillers to compare it to and it's much faster-paced, you start to notice all the extra filler eps that the 90s anime had and you realise that the 90s anime is much slower-paced and can be very draggy and too long at times.
On the other hand I think the problem with Crystal is that it is too short and too fast-paced that you don't have enough time to properly develop the characters, it's a lot more story-driven, while the 90s anime is more character-driven.

Yes I agree with you as kid these type of long shows of the 90s didn't feel this slow as they feel now (sailor moon, dragon ball, pokemon, and others).

I prefer them dubbed. I find it annoying having to read every single subtitle with a language I don't understand.

i'm all for subbed. i never like the dubbing. i was so glad they redubbed the original anime.

I prefer subbed because I think the original Japanese dubs were much better than the english dubs, I particularly dislike the DiC dubs because DiC changed so much from the original dubs that some of the dialogues were very out of character for some of the characters. But sometimes I watch the english dubs too, I just prefer subs.
