if you want to buy them brand new then sadly yes...unless you buy a used or second-hand version at cheaper prices on third party sites like yahoo japan auctions or ebay. I find that a lot of used and second-hand SM merchandise tend to still be in good condition on these sites.

after some research, Chibiusa is around 5 (in appearance) when she first appears. by the Infinity arc, she's around 7-8 when she met Hotaru
