She grew up a Luthor, her mom is quite the maniac, and that brother of hers didn't set the best example. Influenced her in some ways, I'm sure.

Using Kryptonite against her, knowing the pain it causes any member of her race, was the last straw for me.

Somehow I doubt even if Kate had the chance to kill her she wouldn’t be able to.

Turn her in, definitely. But she’d still want her alive.

Yeah, I don't think she will. She couldn't. Even if she's saying she is done trying to save her, she can't be deep down. I think that's where Kate is similar to Kara. She believes in the good.

It seems her whole mission has been to save her, and probably will be the theme for a while. Even if she lost belief in herself in making that happen right now.

She was always planning to send her to some non-Arkham psychiatric facility, even when she thought she could be saved.

So I don’t think she ever had any intention to let her go free.

They had to give Kate some kind of arc connected to her own show. Only makes sense it would involve her feelings towards Alice.
