I have a good feeling about Crisis for Kate’s development.

It’s good that they’re at least giving her something important to do in her own episode.

Yeah, I'd love to see the road of Alice becoming Beth again. I wouldn't mind it taking until Season 5 or later though. I am that hopeful we will get more than 5 seasons.

She was always going to be regardless; cause her father sent her away simply to avoid dealing with his wife's death. So all events leading up to Batwomen would still happen.

What about the body count? Does that automatically get erased?

If Beth was always destined for this to happen; then it would happen by other means and Kate wouldn't have the guilty feelings she has and she can officially stop her without feelings of misplaced guilt.

I like the story just fine though. We would be messing something else up if we change the timeline. We've learned that from The Flash. And even Smallville.

^That's why I asked if Beth's adduction was a fixed event. If it is; then it alters the timeline and messes with it; if it isn't; then the timeline doesn't get messed with.

I see no reason why they'd change everything they've just set up. Its illogical & doesn't necessarily solve things. It changes things in ways where they can't know the future.

How? Alice brought her back & turned her into Batwoman - not her father. If Alice hadn't kidnapped Sophie then Kate would never have come back, found Batman's secret lair, or turned herself into Batwoman. She had no reason to. Someone else would have had to have targeted Sophie for it to happen & you can't guarantee that event would happen still.
You also can't predict that Kate would still be the same person she is now had she grown up with her sister in her life. Living thinking both your mother & sister are dead would affect you differently than living & thinking your mother was dead but you'd saved your sister. Having Beth in her life could've been enough for Kate to just go home once kicked out of the academy
You change one thing about the past & there's a snowball affect which could change a LOT more & make unseen consequences

No? Why would it? Its called redemption. Even Oliver has a body count but people still like him. Should Black Siren not have built up trust & been considered good/a hero (at least in the future) simply because of her body count? No. I simply would like it if Kate could eventually save her sister & stop her from being Alice then Kate could have some form of her sister back & I like a good redemption story

I don't see how changing any event that happened wouldn't mess with the timeline though. Things will be different because that's a major event and pretty much the whole reason Kate is fighting this hard, because of the guilt. We remove the guilt, we don't have Kate trying to save her sister's soul. And that's if Beth even turns into Alice without the turmoil of being abducted and abused by her abductor.

I still have to catch up with all the other shows before seeing it. Batwoman is the only one I’ve really had time to watch.
