I presume it is because of him being a whitelighter but given the elders were witches I don't really see why the sisters shouldn't be able to read the Book of Elders too. Maybe they can, it just hasn't been shown?

See I don't know what I think now. I'd like them to tell us exactly what Mel's powers are now. Then I liked that Maggie was different to the original, so I find it a shame that its now the same

See im more or.less surprised that thier powers grew so quickly, i kean OG they took time like it was a few seasons before it changed , this show one year and im like ok wow already a new power ok

I am too. But we do also need to remember they lost their powers & then got them back so some of the 'new power' is just the changing after getting their powers back. But they have way more power than the OG seemed to have. A lot more control too even when their powers grow they seem to be able to handle it easily
