nowim more hyped , like everytime i see it

and whagt im excited to see in the new season, magnusa and alecs relationship.
but also clary and Jace how everything turn out

and just the story line with deamon mother

There's little to compare at this point.

Which is why it annoys me when people in their reviews still refer back to the books, why can't people enjoy the show on its own?

Yes, it does still follow certain lines and brings in characters (one of which is coming and I've been waiting on forever) but in other areas it's so hugely different.

Oh no, it's nothing compared to like PLL or TVD.

Shadowhunters takes the essence of TMI but modernizing it and making it less problematic and building the characters out a lot more. They're building them up not changing them.
