Haters were hating just because they saw one episode and they decided it wasn't faithful to the books = it was terrible. Once I even had one of them coming in my @ because I said that I didn't understand all those saying the same things still at episode 4, like if you hate it why you keep watching, right? And this person was like "because if we don't watch you all say we have to to be able to criticize the show".

That's why I stopped tweeting about the show and in general I kept my liking for myself

this fandom isn't a very nice place, because you always have to deal with Tolkien Experts that believe only those who study Tolkien at university have the right to adapt or even speak about the Sacred Books. You can't say anything that someone will come at you saying that it's ridiculous because that's not what Tolkien said/wrote/wanted/whatever.

Well not much to care. I welcome good critism. But I do not welcome haters...

I know those people, they are so called fans. Even Tolkien himself says this is an open area for others' imagination. He left open. Especially second age is open wide... They are book experts but they cannot be second age experts because there's no book of this TV series

Those poeple yanked the movies too but now they love them... some of them still yank about Hobbit movies, but I do love those movies as well. It is one thing to critisize soemthing that you don't like but other thing to trash the whole thing... If they'd adapt word by word then those movies would not be as successful as they were, and this series would not be at all because there's no script for second age...Some fans cannot comprehend the fact that this series is almost 3200 years before the LOTR... So what do they even know? They infact know very little because there are some characterizations and they are adapted to the series truly to the Tolkien. Movies actually adapted them differently than the books but they accept that as the truth now

Anyways they know nothing. Especially those who trash the whole production... Then, as you said, do not watch...

I LOVED the series and CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!

They also complain because they didn't put some stuff into the adaptation, when in reality the writers don't have the rights for all the Tolkien material, but only for some, so they had to change stuff anyways.

Same, too bad we have to wait for two years at least

I don't hate the Hobbit movies. I do think the final one was a bit too padded out, but seeing as there was very little in the actual book following that battle, I'm not surprised they made more of it in the film.

I love the Hobbit movies because I think they expanded the story well. The book is just a kid story. PLUS movies have my beloved Legolas, so

The second season was announced even before it premiered.

They added a bunch of new actors, Adar is the only recast.

all seasons are already approved as I know, which will be 5 in total

I love all of the movies as well and I loved Hobbit movies and the additions that Peter Jackson made.

I always rewatch as a whole

It was planned out as 5 seasons from the beginning, with the budget allocated.
