Last episode already? Shame :( hopefully there is clarity but yeah I doubt it too

Unfortunately

BlondieLeigh 10-06-2022 02:46 PM

Yeah, nothing, and his on screen exit was temporary... he literally said that it was only for 8 months. They've written themselves into a jam there when he doesn't come back...

shinebrighterxx 10-06-2022 11:29 PM

BlondieLeigh 10-07-2022 01:26 PM

It doesn't even make sense. What are they going to do when he doesn't come back? Because unless the show gets cancelled or Tracy leaves (which is a very real possibility, tbh, the rumours seem to have just been confirmed), that's gonna need to be explained...

shinebrighterxx 10-07-2022 02:55 PM

Hope viewers forget?

BlondieLeigh 10-07-2022 03:45 PM

No chance of that  People have pointed out that 8 months coincides almost exactly with the season finale (off by like, 2ish weeks). So at this point I'm assuming Tracy is leaving and they'll explain it by "they're going to live in another city" or something.

shinebrighterxx 10-07-2022 03:48 PM

She's probably finishing at the end of the season & that will be their reasoning then  :look:

BlondieLeigh 10-07-2022 04:20 PM

Probably for the best. From everything I have heard, the writing so far this season has been dire and his exit makes no sense. He's been completely OOC since the season started.

Have you seen the new AGT thing? New all-stars series and Sophia Vergara is out. Fire also killed off a very popular guest character this week. What is going on at NBC?!

shinebrighterxx 10-07-2022 04:41 PM

That sounds frustrating. Maybe they should just end the show

No, I don't pay attention to Australian reality shows, let alone ones from other countries.
If there's issue on NBC maybe I should read further into Kelly Clarkson not being on The Voice this season though :look: :P (she says it was just because she took time off work to actually have a summer off & spend time with her kids)

BlondieLeigh 10-08-2022 01:04 PM

Second half of season 9 wasn't great either, with the exception of a handful of episodes, so maybe series finale was 9x09 and we should be done with it

Could be true, but with everything else it makes sense to question it.

shinebrighterxx 10-08-2022 07:09 PM

I'd think if NBC was an issue, Kelly'd be trying to get out of her talk show too. She's had nothing but positive things to say about The Voice though. It has been about her children & she's speculated that she'd return in a way that sounds like she would like to but hasn't been asked yet or can't say yet. But with NBC making some interesting choices it is hard not to wonder what is going on there & if there is some drama bts of things... :look:

The Chicago shows have had good runs. Reaching 10 seasons is a good accomplishment (as is just under for Med & just over for Fire). Sure DW has shows that have done double, but for most shows that's a really good run. If they want to find ways to run these shows down & make as much money out of the franchises as possible, that's sad. Just call it quits & say final season & write a decent final season. If WolfEnt. needs money or has money issues or just simply doesn't want to pay people what they deserve - cancel one of the shows or stop creating new ones/bringing back shows. Don't wait for the ratings to drop, don't leave it up to NBC, & don't fire actors to try save money. As it stands at least for the L&Os all need NBC to renew them. Looks like Chicago's are the same? So if ratings do drop at least for the two shows where cast members have been fired/forced out by the look of things could be end of those two shows. If that's the case hopefully they can get decent time to wrap things up & give a good season ending. SVU has gone so long it'd be nice if they could get a 25 final season even if its just 10 episodes to say goodbye.

BlondieLeigh 10-08-2022 07:49 PM

Talk shows tend to be cheaper to make, so may not be impacted.

Yeah, they're all up for renewal this year. These decisions make absolutely no sense and haven't been good for the shows, so have to question the reasoning behind them.

shinebrighterxx 10-08-2022 07:54 PM

Seems like it could be a set up as an excuse to end shows :look: don't agree with letting a show drop in ratings so it gets cancelled though

BlondieLeigh 10-08-2022 08:01 PM

There's a lot of moving parts and a lot going on that we don't know, I guess, but even with the drops they're still among the network's top performers.

shinebrighterxx 10-10-2022 02:50 AM

Which is unfortunate. Hard to send a message to DW & NBC if there is only a small drop
