I think Jon's holding that severed hand that Ghost came back with in S3?

I was in shock when I first saw that. I thought it was a harmless tree branch (how innocent I was back then, LOL) but it wasn't.

I was surprised by the hand too Back then we weren't expecting things to be bad yet, I had even forgotten the very first scene of the WW, and thought the show was about politics only

Little did I know back then. After Ned's death and most especially the Red Wedding, we're already made of steel.

If we got through those events, nothing else will shock us in a show!!!

After the Red Wedding, nothing definitely fazed me. Shireen's death was horrible of course but I kind of expected that level of craziness with Stannis. And then we were also just waiting for Ramsay to die and if there were other favorite characters who will die, then we're ready for it (like Hodor's death).

^ Very true
Although Hodor's death still gets me (I really didn't know I liked him that much) it was surprising but not shocking __________________

I really liked how we were also finding out about Hodor's past the minute he was dying. That ep was so amazing and was a sucker punch in the feels.

That episode was really well written And I really like finding out more about Hodor, made us sympathize with him even more, not to mention how cool it was that his name was explained in a way that really seems like a well thought character arc

Also the way they ended that ep. UGH. I felt so miserable, sad and lonely after watching that ep. The whole time I knew that it wasn't gonna end happily for them cause there was no way they would survive as they were outnumbered by the WWs.

Same here It was a very sad episode. I was wondering how they were going to be able to escape considering they were surrounded and being chased like that. The ultimate sacrifice from Hodor made that ending very gut-wrenched

It was impossible for all of them to get away from that unscathed so I'm glad the show handled Hodor's death well.
