If he's filming mid-November then that means he's not yet started shooting for the Jon Snow sequel.

I always assumed the Snow spinoff was still in preproduction anyways.

I haven't seen HOTD yet, so I can't say. I've actually never seen Matt Smith in anything. I'm sure he's a fine actor, and he seems like a nice guy from the con clips I've seen.
