It's been a productive week, but not bad! Both my pups have birthdays this week, one tomorrow on Veterans Day and the other Saturday. So did some bday shopping for them both! How about yours?

Mine's been good, a little all over the place and tiring we are in full holiday mode, cleaning, prepping, and organizing for the holidays starting with Thanksgiving

I feel ya! We have shortages of typical thanksgiving stuff here, so been getting stuff that we know we might not be able to at thanksgiving time.

Always best to get Thanksgiving stuff early! We've been doing the same thing slowly stocking up on what we can ahead of time. And we got the most important thing already: Turkey!

Yes!! Got a Turkey last weekend, and got a Ham because my dad loves a ham too. We usually bake pies, but this year it's just my parents and I, everyone else is out of state and has plans, and my sister here is going to her in laws. So since it's just us 3, we made it easy and just got frozen pies. So each week we get a few things, so that we have it all and don't have to worry about it.

Turkey and a ham, sounds like a feast!

This year one of our family members voluntereed to get some of the items, and my sister is also keeping an eye out for anything we may need so that's helped a lot.

I love when family helps! Mine doesn't do that often.. so my parents are happy for a laid back thanksgiving this year, too save some money.

I'm lucky in that sense, my sister has always helped and the past two years the fam member who is pitching in has also helped with getting things.

That’s awesome!! I’m so looking forward to a quiet one for the first time ever. It’s also my dads birthday, so gonna do whatever he wants to that day as well. Which will probably be hang out at his fire pit, watch Christmas movies, and enjoy leftover pie.

My week was so long, I cleaned, de-cluttered, organized, and decorated the house, and now tomorrow I start round two cooking and prepping as much as possible for Thursday

I totally get that! Lots of prep that goes into big holidays. That’s how my week will be this week! Plus gotta babysit tomorrow, and take one of my dogs to a new vet on Wednesday. So I’ll be all over the place worn stuff going on at home and outside of it.

So been playing card games today with my parents, and my grandpa stopped in and decided he wanted to join. We got a good laugh because every round we’d explain the rules, and then he’d ignore and play how he wanted too!
