It is disappointing when players don't seem to be fighting like they should.
Petra Kvitova is looking amazing. I think she could be a threat for Wimbledon. __________________

I love Petra and hopefully playing so much won't tire her for Wimbledon. __________________

Petra has pulled out of Eastbourne because of a hamstring injury so hopefully she will be fit for Wimbledon.

I had a feeling she'd withdraw. Good decision.
Caroline and Konta are playing a long drawn out match, 1 set all currently. __________________

Terrific win by Caroline. Do you agree with Serena Williams being seeded for her Wimbledon tournament this year or no?

Great win by Caroline and Marin.

I could care less because I cannot stand her so I am probably not the best person to give an opinion on this. __________________

I understand that it is unfair for many wta players who have worked hard for their ranking but it works similar to a protected ranking and being pregnant is a specific situation. However being seeded actually means most of them will avoid Serena til later rounds so it would probably benefit a lot of them.

As an equally big Djokovic fan all I can say at this point is that I hope he manages to pull himself out of whatever hole he's dug himself in for the past 2 years. I know it's not ALL his fault I know, he had a bad elbow injury... But this cannot be held responsible for what happened at Queens. He has an ongoing mental block. He doesn't know how to handle positions of dominance anymore. Cilic didn't beat him; he definitely beat himself. It's sad to see, because we all know he's capable of much better and sharper tennis. I personally hope that he came away from that match telling himself, "I should have won that. I could have won that. I was THIS close." Because he needs that winning drive back. Nobody can win Grand Slams with that lack of confidence. I'm not sure what to say about the ranking factor of Serena Williams. It's probably seen as clear favoritism, for all her past achievements as well as her pregnancy, and I can understand the ~double standards~ claims from people. That said, players need to stop dwelling on that aspect of the game and just focus on their level of play. Any type of distraction is something negative. __________________

^ I'm glad to meet another Novak fan here It wasn't just here. Against Cecchinato in Roland Garros a match he clearly should have won, and in all those first round losses, its a real worry. He found the loss against Marin hard and was angry and he should be, it needs to change.
Serena got the ranking but Vika who also had a baby and dealt with a tricky court case didn't get the same treatment. Its favouritism. __________________

Mischa Zverev won his first ATP title at Eastbourne. I'm very pleased.
I'm also very pleased that Caroline Wozniacki won the women's event. __________________

I'm very much looking forward to Wimbledon.
It's a shame about Andy Murray. He is trying to be fit for the US Open. __________________

Great wins for Roger, Venus and Caroline.
Surprising result is that Sloane Stephens lost in straight sets. __________________
