I didn't.

It was all about football.

OK. The hornets won that game by the way. Yesterday there were some blowouts in the N.B.A. Oklahoma City won by 17 points vs. Portland. The Knicks won by 20 vs. Sacramento. Boston won 122-92 vs. Miami. This has been a tough year for teams again, particularly in the Western Conference. Only 7 teams have won at least half of their current total of games this season in the Western Conference. Portland is 21-30 at this time & still have a decent chance at making the N.B.A. Playoffs this year as they are currently 3 games behind the Lakers for a play-in spot. By the way, Joe Ingles reportedly tore an A.C.L. & will miss the remainder of this N.B.A. season. Wish him a full recovery.

No problem. There were some close games yesterday. Oh, a trade has been reported: Portland has agreed to trade Norman Powell & Robert Covington to the Clippers for Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow, Keon Johnson, & a 2025 2nd round draft pick.

You're welcome. The N.B.A. trade deadline is this Thursday. There has been another reported trade. It's Cleveland sending Ricky Rubio, a 1st round protected draft pick, along with 2 2nd round picks all in this year's draft, to Indiana for Caris LeVert & a 2nd round draft pick this year.

You're welcome. Here's some trade news:

Reports: Blazers, Pelicans agree to CJ McCollum trade

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to trade CJ McCollum to the New Orleans Pelicans, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

New Orleans receives:

CJ McCollum
Larry Nance Jr.
Tony Snell

Portland receives:

Josh Hart
Tomas Satoransky
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Didi Louzada
2022 first-round pick (protected)
Two future second-round picks

Pacers trade Domantas Sabonis, Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb to Kings, per report

Star center Domantas Sabonis, swingman Justin Holiday and reserve guard Jeremy Lamb made the trip to Atlanta for the Pacers' road game Tuesday against the Hawks, but they will not suit up for Indiana.

Roughly two hours after the Pacers wrapped up their shootaround at State Farm Arena, which included those three players, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Sabonis, Holiday, Lamb and a 2027 second-round pick have been traded to Sacramento in exchange for second-year guard Tyrese Haliburton, 3-point specialist Buddy Hield and veteran big man Tristan Thompson.

Haliburton is a budding star, averaging 14.3 points, 7.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 45.7% overall and 41.7% on 3-pointers this season. Hield is one of the most prolific 3-pointer shooters in the league. Entering Tuesday night, he'd nailed 182 3s this season, trailing only All-Star guards Stephen Curry and Fred Van Vleet. Thompson, on an expiring contract, is averaging 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game but hasn't played since Jan. 9.

Haliburton, Hield and Thompson could make their Pacers debut Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against the Cavaliers, who Indiana traded Caris LeVert to Sunday.

Sabonis was a two-time All-Star with the Pacers and was having his third straight All-Star caliber season before being dealt. The 6-11 center is averaging 18.9 points, 12.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. He's registered five triple-doubles this season, including the first 25-rebound triple-double since Shaquille O'Neal in 1993, and 34 double-doubles.

Holiday is averaging 11.0 points per game while shooting 37.8% from behind the arc this season, and Lamb, on an expiring contract, is averaging 7.1 points per game.

"The thing is nobody really cares about how you feel in this situation or in any situation," Holiday said after LeVert was traded. "All anybody really cares about is you going out to perform, so you have to try to find a way to lock in. It's our job to go out there and do our job."

Indiana has now made two significant trades this week, signifying that owner Herb Simon is ready to commit to a full rebuild after initially dismissing the idea in mid-December.

The Pacers traded LeVert and a 2022 second-round pick via Miami to the Cavs on Sunday. In return Indiana received guard Ricky Rubio, who is out for the season with a torn left ACL and on an expiring contract, a lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick via Houston and a 2027 second-round pick via Utah.

No problem. Portland won vs. the Lakers earlier. Incredible. Utah blew out the Warriors. There is still time for N.B.A. teams to make trades this week, so hope that some do. Ben Simmons or Russell Westbrook could be traded. airs going to be interesting. Enjoy this tradedeadline.
