Well done by them. Man, this has been some start to this season. The Mariners' 10-2 start is their best in franchise history. They haven't made the playoffs since 2001. It would be nice if that changes this year. Tampa Bay's pitching has been terrific in their fast start & wow if you missed it today, the Jays won vs. Boston at Fenway Park. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. of Toronto stole home plate in the 4th inning today. This game did not have the best conditions to be playing in, which happens this time of year in Boston, but still was exciting.

Thanks for the tweets.
18 innings? Reason #100 that I don't watch baseball. Good lord. __________________

Most games don't even go into extra innings though & they are trying to speed up the game by having less visits to the mound by coaches & managers, among other things.

I always wondered why do they keep visiting the mound. __________________

Well, sometimes it's so another pitcher or pitchers get more time to throw in their bullpens. What a disappointing month that the Jays & Mariners are having. Brutal.

Child struck by line drive; Cubs' Almora in tears
More netting is a good idea or pick seats where there is less chance to get hit by a baseball & also be aware of your surroundings if you take young ones to games. Wish this child a speedy recovery. __________________

They do have a better record than the Mariners at this time though. It's just sad what's going on with the M's. They got off to a great start this year & in will unless something drastic changes miss the MLB Playoffs again & won't be surprised if the loss over 100 games, though if that happens they probably won't be the only MLB team to lose that many this year. Depressing for their fans. Some of these Division races are not even close at this time. The Dodgers, Twins, & Astros each have at least an 8 game lead in their divisions.

got in my votes for the All-Star Game today
I offered to treat my dad and take him to a baseball game on Father’s Day but he says they’re not playing well enough for him to want to go :( |
