I'm glad she's realising that Sherlock doesn't have to be the enemy

As for Eurus' comment "you're nicer", well obviously she hasn't been with the family in a long time and the gun and violence lead to think that there are ill feelings towards the rest of the family so i think she constructed this idea of the Holmes' especially the brothers being horrible and realize that it's not completely the case.
Following from the new episode, it puts a possible new spin on that night spent with Sherlock. Maybe she did have some wish to spend time with him. Although, given it was part of her nasty plans, I guess that might be taking it too far.

i think obviously her plan was already in motion, and i think that was her breaking out of character and being like "wow you're nicer" especially considering the traumatic things she's done to him (which he doesn't remember but she doesn't know that of course)

I like that. I really want to believe there was some genuine feeling in there somewhere.

there really was at the end, them playing violin together despite what she's done was powerful. In the end they're siblings

I think it was very clever the way it took them all back to being children, which is often how siblings relate to each other. It was really the only thing that made Eurus relatable. Her being presented as the little girl on the plane was like the way we occasionally saw Sherlock as a little boy, through Mycroft's eyes.

I watched this episode again yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone else had speculated that Eurus actually has some form of multiple personality disorder. I'm not sure if we're supposed to think that or not. I remember getting a feeling of something like that the first time she breaks character in front of John, and goes so easily into each of the different voices. Obviously it's a great actress playing all this, but it was so eerie... I thought there might be a bit more to it than her just executing her plan. Then in the last episode she actually is the scared little girl on the plane, in her own mind.

I noticed she (as Faith) has the line, something like: "Don't you ever want to look in the mirror and see someone else." That's particularly significant in the light of the finale.

that's an interesting theory yeah could be confirmed by the whole little girl storyline, i think that could be completely true, and could explain her shutting down afterwards. I think that no matter what we can safely say that her mental health isn't that great and Sherrinford can't have helped

I don't understand americans, especially ew.com. They put an A minus on the Six Thatchers episode, a B+ on the lying detective and a C+ on the final problem? IT MAKES NO SENSE IN WHAT WORLD IS THE SIX THATCHERS BETTER THAN THE LYING DETECTIVE

No idea.

Lying Detective has got to be one of the best of all the series, surely?
