Agreed on The Matrix. That and Trinity as a character in general are just iconic. I don't think I'll ever get bored of that movie and I've seen it soooo many times! And every time I'm still surprised at how well it still holds up years later.
I think she looks even better with longer hair

And yes! The Matrix is one of a few films I can watch endlessly and never get tired of. And is sooo quotable

I love her with longer hair! I think everything I have seen her in she has had super short hair. She's beautiful either way, but I think I prefer her with longer hair.

Loved that movie! This photo with Alan Rickman

| Jeri Hogarth's character was originally written as a male character (Jeryn Hogarth in the comics), but gender-swapped to female for the show. This game-changing decision completely flipped the dynamic, as Jeri is a powerful, strong, unyielding character with a high-powered attorney position. In a role that could have easily (and stereotypically) been cast as male, it's refreshing to see a woman instead.
x

Another reason why JJ is a great show. Well done, producers.

I don't really care so much for the sequels, they were okay but the first movie is the one that I enjoyed the most.

Oh wow, I didn't know this. I just assumed that the character was supposed to be a female. Big props to the producers for adding more strong female characters in superhero shows!

I didn't know that either but I LOVE THAT!!!! I'm all for gender swapping ALL the males, bring it on and yeah I couldn't have imagined the show without Carrie Anne either. The dynamic of the show would've been so different if her character had been male.

that's awesome that they made Jeryn into a female character And they cast Carrie-Anne so they were guaranteed to hit it out of the park with that decision.

I am glad that this cast has a lot of female characters. It's nice to see so many strong women in one show.

So true. There are more female characters on this show as compared to say DD. In fact, I'm all for a female villain in S2. BRING IT.

Oh god, I didn't know I wanted this before I read your post. YES!

I would love if they gender swapped like, say, the avengers roles or maybe a female spiderman the possibilities are endless!

Although I guess the fanboys outrage would be historically epic (maybe one more reason to do it )

Agreed! Even more so, because they are believable characters with depth not just fantasy fulfillment or fan service characters

A lesbian love triangle, no less. That came across sincere and without feeling cheap or exploitative.
Huge props to the showrunners for that.
