Superbowl is this Sunday so the gang is looking forward to my "Buffalo Wings". House favorite.

What are you cooking? Hah yeah Carnaval in Brazil can get intense, right? We don't generally celebrate it here, but they do in the south of the country. This morning I suddenly heard really loud music and lots of noise and I opened my door and the first thing I saw were a couple dudes dressed up as a cupcake, cotton candy and a lollypop, and behind them a whole parade of mainly kids dressed up as all kinds of things. It.... was a very interesting experience to say the least especially cause I was still half asleep and it took me a couple minutes to connect the dots and remember Carnaval is a thing that exists so it seemed super random to me at first

I made sweet crepes today, really simple and delicious

Carnaval gets really crazy here, but it's just kind of obnoxious with famous people getting naked to get attention. Also, it becomes the thing most people talk about for like a solid month. It's just really obnoxious.

No biggie tho, gonna watch me some Game of Thrones, can't complain too too much

My friend from the US arrived so we'll be having some dinners together and then my nephew is celebrating his 1st birthday soon. He's my first nephew and my mom's first grandson so it's a huge deal for us. When are you leaving for the convention again?

Yeah I'm really excited, he has no idea He just turned 18 last month. I can't believe it I'm taking him to see Breaking Benjamin, he's always had a list since he was in 5th grade of who he'd love to see in concert and they were one of them but they were never playing until now, which was like what are the odds
