I think that Jamal will be drawn to go back with Cookie but Lucious will be trying to cause a rift... I think there are signs of showing it. He doesn't really hate Cookie at all, and he still very much loves her in his life, he is just too obsessed with his father finally looking at him that he is blinded by a lot of stuff and Cookie knows that.

oh there wasn't a promo at the site I watched the episode, have to find it on YT though.

He's really only trying to get along with his father because they weren't good in years

the scene when Cookie said they're creating an own company and then she was gone

it was so sad

Not surprised with Lucious. As I said in the Jamal/Jussie thread, I feel like he wants the "acceptance" of Lucious and that is why he's being like this. I mean and Cookie sees and it and everything she's trying is failing because of Lucious and this breaks my heart in the sense, this was one of my favorite relationships and both are my favorite characters.

I agree with you on that. Even in Season 1, one of his powerful songs was when he talked about his father... how he wanted his acceptance. I think it was in the 2nd episode or in the Pilot, and Cookie was watching him sing. It's like he never understood why he wasn't good enough so I think for Lucious to even act supportive of Jamal is shocking to him.

I agree with you that their relationship is my favorite on the show so it's sad to see it getting teared apart.

I love this show!!

I just hope that Jamal doesn't let Lucious keep him away from Cookie. Cookie is the only one who has always supported him.

It does look amazing!

I hope he doesn't as well but sadly for a few episodes I think he will because he just want to be under Lucious good graces at any cause.

I guess the writers needed some angst for the most accepting friendly relationship on the show.

I also think it may last for a few more episodes. I'm pretty sure Cookie won't give up, she'll be looking after him like in the last episode when she just interrupted his interview

She'll look after him while still going against him... it will be something else.

I sort of like Cookie and Hakeem working together cause I want them to rebuild a relationship but even though Jamal and Cookie are at war right now, I believe their relationship is strong enough to overcome this.

Cookie will always be trying to scheme with one of her boys. It will come back around and she will be back on good terms with Jamal.
