First Photo from ‘The Flash’ Season 2 Following the events of The Flash’s season 1 finale, including that torture of a cliffhanger, fans are left wondering how and where the show’s sophomore season will pick up. From the teases we’ve gotten, it’s been confirmed that there will be a time-jump when the new season begins. Fans can get a first look at Team Flash’s return six months later in the first promotional photo from the season 2 premiere of The Flash, as unveiled by TV Insider. The photo features Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton), Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber) in S.T.A.R. Labs, as they are “facing an uninvited guest.” “We pick up about six months later, and we’re going to piece together how the storm has affected everyone,” Grant Gustin told the site. As for how the dynamic of the world has changed since Barry helped defeat Reverse Flash and seemingly rewrite history as the show knows it, Gustin said, “It’s not as different as you’d think, but as we move forward, some things will blow fans’ minds.” It wouldn’t be The Flash if it wasn’t blowing our minds and making us fear for our mental stability. And we cannot wait until the new season graces our screens on Tuesday, Oct. 6 on The CW. __________________

2x01 Episode Synopsis: BARRY DECIDES HE NEEDS TO PROTECT THE CITY ON HIS OWN — Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Gabrielle Stanton. (x)
