Iris West is a journalist in training. Barry Allen is the Flash (a.k.a The Red Streak). They grew up together after Barry's mother was murdered and Barry's father was convincted for her murder. Friendship; they are each other's best friends, they have a deep bond. Family;it's difficult for Barry to explain what he feels for Iris, she's the only family he had, but it runs so much deeper and Barry is just discovering that. Iris on the other hand is oblivious and fails to see what is right in front of her face.

After being hit by a lightning, Barry develops powers, now he is protecting the city from others like him, as the mysterious known as the R e d S t r e a k this will only further develop and complicate his relationship with Iris as her pursuit of journalism and the Streak will pull her closer to him but into danger.

Barry will work overtime alongside Iris's protective father (Joe), to keep his secret from Iris. Howeverwith Iris's inquistive nature and fasination with the impossible. She is determined to pursue the Flash.

I agree with you. But I think the writers are already doing a good job of negating the criticisms, first with Iris cutting off contact with Flash and now, with Barry confessing his feelings. The fact that Iris chose to support Eddie against Flash shows that she values her family and their safety more than she's fascinated by the Flash. But I think Flash saving Eddie will bring the former back into Iris' good graces. I don't know if we'll see them flirting like we did before but I can see her confiding in the Flash about Barry and her newest dilemma. That'd certainly be another way to differentiate her feelings for Flash and Barry. I think it's pretty clear now but romantically speaking, I think the focus will shift to highlighting Iris' feelings for Barry.

As for The Flash reveal, I think it'll be secondary to both establishing Iris' feelings for Barry and to Iris' journalism arc. And I don't have a problem with that because her journalism arc is tied to The Flash so I think she'll still be heavily involved in shaping The Flash's narrative, which means she'll be included is the action somehow, as we've seen already. Also, the writers delaying the identity reveal suggests to me that they are going for maximum impact...i.e. Iris falling for Barry before discovering that he's The Flash. I don't think there will be any ambiguity when the latter is finally revealed.

I think she will confess her feelings for Barry prior to finding out he's the Flash. This is how imagined it in my head. I get this picture in my head that she'll go see Barry at his place after breaking up with Eddie because she can't denied her feelings for Barry anymore. They talk for a long time and spend the night together and in the morning he has to go and she stays at his place wearing his shirt, and without meaning to she finds Barry's Flash suit and figures it out that he the Flash.

That's how see it happening or hope it will happen.

First off, TFTNT (also the number for the thread needs to be changed from 7 to 8. I forgot to do that at first when I started the new thread too)

Anyway, yeah I agree. I think it's secondary to her confessing how she feels about Barry. It will make the reveal have that much more of an impact if she already has said how she feels. The journalism arc is coming up soon I think and so yeah she will be able to be a part of the action and still shaping The Flash's story.

I'd love to see Caitlin asking Iris for help in using her blog to track down metahumans (like when she asked for info on the burning man). This allows Iris to be somewhat involved in the main story.

Heck, if she's ready to forgive The Flash, then she can even leave a message for him saying she has a lead on something metahuman related and that her friend Caitlin needs his help (not knowing he's already on it) and get involved in the story that way too.

As for the reveal -- I expect Iris to know Barry = The Flash before she makes any confession.

Having said that, I'm very sure we will see that she is unequivocally in love with Barry before she finds out he's the Flash. I just think, however, that it will be something she keeps to herself.

That sounds too good to be true Also way too careless for him to leave his suit at her apartment. I don't think he has it there, I think it stays in star labs. I could be wrong though.

She won't find out about the Flash so soon after she eventually confesses her feelings.
