So whenever you wonder if you should spoiler tag it, ask yourself first, "Is this about what's going to happen on the show? Or is it about the actors personally?" If it's an SDCC picture of Grant and Danielle chilling, that's obviously not a spoiler - it's not about what's going to happen on the show - so that's fine. If it was a screen shot of, say, a Snowbarry kiss on a sizzle reel that isn't released publicly but is only shown at SDCC (as often happens)...you should spoiler tag that. Or, for a real example

If it's Danielle saying she loves working with Grant, that's fine. If it's her saying she loved working with Grant in an upcoming sex scene (for example), that's a spoiler. Think of the casual fan as your yardstick. The Snowbarry kiss was a spoiler when they talked about it in interviews. It was no longer a spoiler when it was included with the "next week on..." promo that aired on TV. Because a casual fan who doesn't go on message boards or Tumblr for the show would reasonably know it. So it's not a spoiler anymore. Basically, if it's something you wouldn't know if the only thing you did was watch the show every week and happen to maybe see whatever official promos and commercials air on TV...it's a spoiler. And, honestly, if in doubt, spoiler tag it. People would rather you be overly cautious than those who prefer to be unspoiled like having things spoiled for them. Make sense? |
