Yeah I know how you feel. The only thing I am looking forward to this week is the promo and that is likely going to be Juliette taking something out on Avery again either him leaving or him not believing in her. This is not who these people are writers.

I don't either. I already muted her in the last ep. I may skip her scenes altogether in this one.

So what are the odds that Juliette or Avery are even in the next ep?

Feels like I remember Ed or Marshall alluding to how they like writing for teenagers in an interview, specifically My So-Called Life. But unfortunately for them Maddie was ruined before they got her, and Lennon's great, but she's not Claire Danes. This feels like forcing a square peg into a round hole trying to have Maddie carry her own storyline. I want to be engaged by this story, but I can't take Maddie seriously. And yes, it just annoys me when she gets more screen time at the expense of others.

Well they weren't in promos, pics or episode description so slim, very very slim. I'm laughing otherwise I would.....


And you would think the writers would make some changes on the Maddie airtime because of the backlash on it but just looking at extras call for future stuff it looks like it's not slowing down anytime soon. They are really testing viewer patience IMO.

I'm so much more than annoyed at this point. The problem with what Ed or Marshall said about teenagers is that Nashville is not My So-Called Life. It's a show about adults, and the kids were relevant only in how they added to one of the adult's storylines. If Maddie and/or Daphne were in a show about teens, it would be fine. But this show isn't that show. And plus, Maddie is still a brat

IMO No good can come of Maddie constantly going to Clay's room alone and sitting on his bed. That's a big temptation for a young man. And why is she going out at all hours of the day and night, going to places she's never been before with a stalker out for her mother? What happened to Daphne at school should have been a wake-up call for how dangerous he could be. And if the writers want to be true to and RL with Maddie's character, they should be writing her as using her time studying to get her GED, instead of running around the neighborhood with a guy.
