So I am currently unemployed and watched Swingtown in like three days. It's not the show I would normally chose to watch, the swingers theme didn't attracted me, I started watching for Lana. But surprisingly I really enjoyed it, it was a good and interesting show. Lana was awesome in it, it's great to see her play someone different although my favorite character was probably Janet.

I know that when you hear "swingtown" it gives a weird vibe to some. and the "theme" is not for everyone but when you come to watch the show you see that it is about a lot more than just the swinging. its about love and trust and growing in some ways. its about friendship and going wiht the motion. Lana is lovely in it and I love her relationship wiht Janet. Janet is a funny char and I think over the season she changed the most. well actually Trina and Janet both did. Janet became more open and Trina became a little more grown up and attentive to the outside world

Yeah, it was definitely more than just swinging and I liked the characters weren't one dimensional. And I wish we got more scenes with Janet and Trina...

Off topic, but your "team Ivy" is about Smash's Ivy?

yes it is. Smash is one of my all time favourites and I am a really HUGE Megan Hilty and Ivy fan. Finally soeone who knows SMash

When I was watching Swingtown I was like hey this is "Derek" from Smash :-D

I don't remember the show that much because I watched most of the episodes only once and I don't have exactly good memory but I really enjoyed the show and was sad it got cancelled (and we didn't get even proper scene where Ivy told Derek she was pregnant). And Ivy was definitely my favorite character too and I can see actually little similarities between her and Regina :-)

oh I watched every ep like 3 times or more and yes pretty pissed that we didnt get a scene with them. there are SO many similarities betweenher and Regina. I always thought so too do you want to come over to the OT thread so that we can talk more?

i never saw this show but i heard it good? i think its a bit too mature for me though is it?

its really good. one of her best shows and she plays really well in it. her character is absolutely amazing check it out if you have the chance
