That's true, they were probably all comfortable enough with each other by then that an invitation wasn't necessary, it was just asssumed they were all going together.

While I enjoyed Regina and Emma's bonding I am definitely hoping for alot of more Regina and Snow scenes in the fifth season.... and I hope for more Snow overall, Ginny had rather small screentime for one of the main characters.

I hope for the same. I liked emma and Regina because emma was at least tolerable in scenes with Regina but overall I want more snow and Regina scenes. because they have come a long way

The Snow/Regina dynamic is one of my favorites, and it was so criminally underused in season four.

I agree. I'm not fond of how they practically 'sacrificed' the Regina and Snow friendship in order to show more of Emma and Regina. I get that it was Emma's season, but not all relationships had to suffer because of that, and the Snow/Regina one is the core of the whole show anyway. It's what started everything, for God's sakes. I desperately hope there will be more of that in season 5, I've missed them terribly this year... Scenes like the ending of 3x18 or the casting of the curse in 3x19 are unforgettable!

I am not sure the lack of Regina with Snow was because of Emma and Regina.... except for the fifth episode they did not have them interacting that much during the first half of season and still we got hardly any Snow Queen..... Regina spent most of her screentime in her vault looking at the book...
The second half of the season had quite of Emma with Regina but who knows if there would be Snow Queen scenes instead if these scenes did not happen....maybe we would got just less of Regina... To me it kinda seems the writers don't know what to do with Snow or don't care much about her character.... even with Emma who is her daughter and had a good screentime she did not share that much scenes with... I love Snow and Regina, it's my favorite relationship on the show besides Regal believer and I definitely hope for more of them, it's just that I don't think that the lack of them was necesarrily caused by developing Emma and Regina friendship or at least not only by that. __________________

I don't think it was only because of that. During 4A, lots of characters suffered because of the Frozen focus, except for Emma who was directly involved, so there was no room for other relationships or sole characters to truly evolve. I'm actually even surprised at how they managed to work on Regina's character development, when, like you said, she spent a good portion of the first half locked into the vault. But anyway, who can ever forget all the Snow Queen scenes that were cut during those episodes??? Lana and Ginny's excitement over them had us all so worked up only to never see that stuff...
What I do think though is that, for some reason that I cannot really comprehend, the writers are trying to make the world see that Emma is in the forefront (which, to everyone who has watched from the start, is just not true), that she is... the lead! I don't think anyone can deny that season 4 was the Emma season. And, according to what I'm already reading about season 5, I don't think there will be much change unfortunately. Which is why, again imo, they paid way more attention to her relationship with Regina, her relationship with Snow and her relationship with Hook. So, while there are all of those, along with the side stories (Operation Mongoose, the QoD, Rumple and his dark heart etc), there was no room for stuff like Snow Queen. Not to mention proper devotion to other characters, like Robin, or even worse, Will Scarlett, who they had promised since this time last year they would develop and reveal his story... It's no secret that Emma is not a character I really enjoy. She would be under some... specific circumstances, but she's not. However, when I look back to seasons 1-3, all I see is equal time for all the 3 leading ladies' characters and relationships. Once the balance is gone... well, that's not good. And I get that Ginny needed time for baby Oliver last summer and she was benefited by the Frozen storyline in that area, but I honestly believe that 4B was the perfect opportunity for some serious Regal Believer and Snow Queen time... but it wasn't because Emma got in the middle. I only hope this won't be the case again in the new season. I don't really want to be put off by the show. __________________

We don't even get much Snow/Regina bonding anymore. And the ending of 3x18 will always be one of my fav scenes of them. __________________

I read Lana said at the convention she is hoping for more Regina/Snow scenes, I really hope the writers will listen. I think we could at least see them cooperating in rescuing Emma but definitely hope for some deep conversation between them too.

I do hope we get good scenes with them next season. I would also love another great scene like in 3x18. __________________
