Never trust a criminal until you have to...

Raymond "Red" Reddington, a former government agent, attended the United States Naval Academy graduating top of his class at the age of 24 and was being groomed for Admiral when he disappeared while coming home to visit his family for Christmas in 1990. 4 years later, he resurfaced, selling classified documents to the enemy. Over the next 20 years he built a syndicate of contacts: Spies, thieves, smugglers, drug dealers, people smugglers, human traffickers, arms dealers, forgers, hackers, mercenaries, and assassins. Eventually he went from just selling secrets to also starting wars, toppling governments and influencing geo-politics to suit his needs.
He became known as "The Concierge of Crime" due to his ability to arrange deals between the various black market factions. He willfully surrenders to the FBI and provides information on a roster of criminals that he refers to as
"The Blacklist." Dangerous criminals who are so careful to avoid leaving any traces behind that the FBI has not even detected their existence. His ethics are somewhat murky, and he espouses the use of some crimes in the service of "the greater good". He uses his arrangement with the FBI to pursue his own secret agenda.

Yeah, it's really awesome

His name (names) is (are) way too long

And Red again was amazing in this week's episode IMO! He was stunning, him negotiating all of it and putting everything in play. What I really loved was us seeing him for the first time putting everything together himself by filling all the others in. It was great... And the rest he handled on his own

But look at his face... He's walking there as if he's the boss (which he technically was but still, it's fascinating how frightening James can seem, how powerful!

Besides, did you see this gesture towards Aram?

He was beyond brilliant this episode! The way he talked to his team, the way he negotiated with The Director and Hitchin was brilliant! He totally owned this episode!

Those gifs of him and Dembe walking though that (what I imagine to be) a cool cell! What a boss!

I noticed the shoulder squeeze he gave Aram immediately! I loved it so much!

James definitely is the only person I can imagine being Red... Even trying to imagine somebody else is impossible for me. It's as if this role was simply written for him.

I still love that this woman (Leslie Jones) was hired for an episode and even was allowed to play alongside with James! She was so amazing when she told that talk show host about her crush on James last year and now she was there and in one episode even! I only can imagine how beautiful that must be for her.

I thought it really hilarious as well but I liked the other one better personally.

Red in this weeks episode really seemed stressed... I can't say why but it was his expression, the way he was acting.

I'm not sure why. Was it because his life was endangered? Was it because of him not being sure if Liz would continue to work with him? Was it him being afraid to lose Liz? Was it about what happened to Mr. Kaplan? Man, or was it even because he already knows that Liz is pregnant somehow? That would explain the last scene with Mr. Kaplan where she reassures him that he won't lose her no matter what happens? He somehow confused me...

I don't think he knows that Liz is pregnant. She just found out herself. So I don't think it's that. I am sure it was the whole ordeal with Mr. Kaplan and everything going on with Liz and Tom.
