Btw, that actually means that he would have killed her. It's been the only logical explanation... It just hit me when I read it now.

His next sentence is something like I can't trust you I can't forgive you..

And yes he would kill her if he could. That's why Dom said liz was off limits when Red told him he wanted to excommunicate both of them.

Exactly. He promised her. We don't know why he did and what it made such a deep connection but that's our Red... And I bet although he might have changed, that's something that he kept the same.
