Brian, Thanks so much for the new thread
Only a bit over a month until we'll be waiting for the ratings nervously again. __________________

I already added the title for the season three ratings I thought it was at the time since it's just a bit more than a month now.

It looks good Kris. Thanks for adding it.
Let's hope the ratings for the S3 finale will be around 12 million like S1 and S2 were. __________________

Wow, 12 million would be stunning... But I'm really not sure if it's ever possible for the show to rise to those ratings again

I think it's hard for them to score 12 million viewers based on the S2. The finale basically has half viewers of the premiere of S2.

^If the show stayed on Mondays! The ratings would have been the same as season 1 and the first half of season 2. Once they moved to Thursdays, most people jumped ship. You schedule a time for a show you stick to it and never move it.

Brian, you're right I think it stupid to shift the times and even days with a show that is well established. I'm still so mad about that decision. And with the change in the timeslot and the bad writing it just was a matter of time until they jumped ship. __________________

I think it has more to do with the move to Thursdays honestly. I think as long as NBC insists on having the show on Thursdays these are the kind of ratings it will be getting.

I agree that moving the show to Thursdays was a really big mistake. NBC should see that as well right? Why not change it back?

Thursdays are killer. We all knew that before it even happened. So I'm not sure what they were expecting by switching days. I doubt they'll switch back though...
I'm hoping the different format this season of Liz & Red on the run will boost viewership slightly. People may like that dynamic infused with still having Blacklisters we can root against. __________________

I as well think the main reason was the move to Thursdays, but the bad ratings at the end was the storyline, that's for sure... I know a lot of people who stopped watching, we even had one of these people posting here. They simply were super disappointed and I was, too in a lot of things.
I definitely love the format the show now has and I really hope that it won't let me down... There's nothing more I could have hoped for. __________________

As we know the ratings would generally decline as seasons fly by.The first half of
S2 on Mondays, the viewers also decreased.Agree the ratings decline has something to do with the writing. I think those that stop watching are casual viewers and non-shippers or James' fans. They basically watch the show for James and good storylines. When the SL is dragged out long ,has zero development, lack of James, they probably didn't watch it live. I once saw some comments in a website before TBL airs on Thurdays "one James Spader can beat up the whole cast of Scandal. Scandal will be crushed down" Something like this.Dunno if NBC execs were that cocky as these comments. I suppose most audience of S3 would be probably all kinds of shippers and James fans. |
