That's a whole different subject - episodes where they're underused is a topic well-discussed over the years.

The issue is he has a new contract and a storyline that potentially allows him to not shoot as much.

Although given how quickly Ellen and Patrick signed their contracts this year, I'm thinking there wasn't a whole lot of negotiation. Meaning, they probably didn't change a whole lot in them. The contract negotiation process would've gone on a lot longer I think if there were big changes to the contracts. Or ABC just said whatever, you can have whatever you want as long as you stay...

Yeah, I dont think there was a lot of changes...for S8 the negotiation was long. It said that Ellen's a hard negotiator, she's not playing ladies! LOL And it wouldnt be surprising that ABC let them have whatever they want, Grey's is still a powerhouse compared with others new shows considering the 10 seasons in & the change in ways of watching tv/series. Guess that's the reason it was put in the 7/8 time slot. Contrary to what most think, even if. I dont like the change, ABC airing it in that slot is proof that they trust Grey's is strong enough to survive there as non other show has in the last 4 yrs or so. ABC is business and that move was a well though business move. We'll see if it work or not though.

Yeah more money, i understand there wont be heavy MD for 24 episodes cause they're gonna want their light filming days maybe around mid season.

Although I would think their scenes actually take less time to film than when they film with others because they've been doing this for 10years (and magic lol).

They can't be heavy in all episodes, but I hope they are in most of them.

I don't even so much that they're "heavy" per say. [Obviously, I think they should have a couple episodes where they're the main focus, though]. I care that they have scenes together, though.

Scenes together are the most important, they can have all the screentime together for me.

They should be the MAIN focus in some, since their storyline is biggest from the couples, plus I'm sure they have a bigger shiny paycheck, so use them more I say

And bring their centric episode.

I updated it on Thursday. I was working on chapter 6 last night. It's getting emotional to write. This SL is soooo complicated. I do have a happy ending in mind.
