I get bored watching too many episodes of the same show consecutively, so I usually have several different shows I'm watching at a time. It takes me longer to get through each series that way, but it keeps me interested in each show.

I agree with you on that. It is a very rare show that can hold my interest enough for me to binge episode after episode consecutively without breaking it up. I usually am watching several shows at one time. Plus, some shows just require more attention and focus than others, so they just naturally take me longer to get through. That doesn't mean they aren't amazing.

Yes, some shows you can be doing other things while you are watching them and some you really have to be paying attention the entire time or you miss stuff.

I like to be able to "multi-task" and do other things while I'm watching TV, but some shows are just too involved to allow for that. Like you said, you don't want to miss things. Case in point: I'm just finishing Season 1 of Stranger Things, and I feel like I need to rewatch all of it.

Not me...i binge on every show i watch. If It doesent make me want to watch one after the other, it's not worth watching.

I think part of mine is an attention span issue. After a couple hours of the same thing, I'm bored. I have trouble getting through long movies too, even really good ones.

That might be part of my situation, too. Also, even if I'm really really tempted to binge episode after episode to see what happens next... I just don't have the time to watch tv like that. With work and posting here on FF, I might have time to watch one or two episodes of a show in one evening. Three if I'm lucky. When the next day rolls around, I might be tired or just not in the mood to watch that type of show again. So, it's nice have another show to break things up and give me something else to look forward to. Finally, I think resisting the urge to watch the next episode immediately ("instant gratification") makes it even more satisfying when I finally do continue to watch. But that's just me.

Still watching Stranger Things. I'M SO IN LOVE. This might be one of those shows that makes me break my no straight binging rule.

Denying myself that instant gratification is what I have a problem with. If I start watching a show, oftentimes I'm still there at 2AM, whether I have work the next day or not.

I think I binged more on Stranger Things than anything. The momentum just keeps building, and a season is really like a very long movie. I tried to limit it myself to 2 a night to make it last.
