Don't worry about me if you end up rescheduling the 1x07 rewatch because I won't be around much at all that week. If anything, I'll be posting from my phone.

In hindsight, 1x06 isn't all that bad. Angst galore and there was that one scene of Francis being concerned for Mary. Remember the days where we all hated that episode with a passion? Then came the 1x10-1x12 stretch and season 2...and well, I'll watch it over any of those episodes any day.

Yeah, I remember hating the episode at first. We didn't know how good we had it.

Looking back, I really appreciate 1x06. I'm a sucker for angst and drama. Of course, I love the scene where Francis is all concerned about Mary. But I also really like the scene where he confronts her about kissing Bash, and the scene where he "releases" Mary to spend her time with others. It was incredibly heartbreaking because...he made sense. He was being rational and doing what he believed was best for France and for Mary. It was the Francis x Mary x DUTY triangle at it's peak, and it was fantastic to watch. Also, it's pretty amusing that Francis thinks he can "keep his distance."

I obviously LOVE that gif set. 1x07 is so angsty, I adore it. The way Mary says "I DID!" in that last gif...I will always remember it. It oozed of frustration and heartbreak. And it is very laughable that Francis thought he could "keep his distance." We all know he was a goner from the very first moment he saw Mary.

Francis keeping distance... yeah Good thing about our rewatches now is that the timing is perfect since I started to forget things that happened in S1 and it's a good way to be reminded of all the great scenes we got

I forgot to mention this earlier! It has always stood out to me, too - and it's one of the things I will be looking forward to when I finally get to rewatch 1x06.

Well, I haven't watched their recaps since Season 1. I got a little frustrated because they weren't fangirling about Francis and Frary as much as I thought they should be. From what I remember, they were huge Bash/Torrance fans - which is fine. It just wasn't as interesting for me to watch. I have no idea how their opinions of the show have changed since the mess of Season 2. What did they think of 3x05?
