I need to put together a watchlist for my trip to NC. I like to store a bunch of movies and shows on my tablet to watch on the train trip. The train has WiFi, but it's not good enough to download or stream anything.

Well, the trains just recently got what little WiFi they have, and not all the trains have it yet, so I'm glad that if I'm going to spend 8 hours on a train I can at least check my e-mail or text back and forth without using my data plan. And I can pop in to the forums to pass the time!

What do you all eat for Christmas? Do you bake anything? Do you celebrate more on Christmas eve or Christmas day?

When I was growing up we always had the big meal on Christmas Day. It was usually roast goose, potatoes, red cabbage and a few other things and for dessert we usually had mincemeat pie.
These days I usually go visit my brother at Christmas and his girlfriend rules the celebration. Which means we have turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. I like mashed potatoes - but that's about it. My brother doesn't really like this stuff either - but he keeps his mouth shut and eats it. Well, I keep my mouth shut, too. But if I can get a moment in the kitchen, I make a mincemeat pie. I also try to bring some Rouladen with me. Roulanden is a German meat roll and one of my brother's favorite things, but it takes about a day and a half to make, so I can't make it once I get there. My brother's girlfriend also bakes cookies - and they are really good - but she goes a little nuts. I would not be surprised if she makes well over 1,000 cookies each year at Christmas. __________________

Today I was very lucky and finished all my Christmas shopping in an hour and a half.
 No more last minute worrying! And this year I had enough money to buy everyone good gifts  __________________
