How far away is it from you? I think with traffic I'm like forty minutes or so away.

the one in baltimore where i live is about a half hour away. but that one cost money to enter. but the one in DC is a little over an hour away and its free. but you have to deal with a ton of traffic in order to get there. but i dont drive, so i need to find someone else to go with me

Yeah I think my Zoo is about 30 minutes away without traffic. But I consider that close living in a major city.

That's very true Jen If I was unable to drive my kids and I would never go to the Zoo.

Yeah I remember when I had a car that was constantly breaking down. Always having to rely on other modes of transport. I hated it and I'm glad I have a car that works now. I think we have to pay a fee for ours, but I don't think it's too steep.

Yeah being without reliable transportation is really tough.

and the one here in baltimore is expensive to get in from what i remember the last time i was there. i just looked on the website. ticket for an adult (ages 12-64) is $20. but right now for winter prices its half price. children (ages 2-11) are $15 . but now till feburary they are only $10 cuz nobody wants to go and walk and freeze their butts off there but like i said the one in dc is free and not that much farther away.

I would definitely go the free one then. Yeah the ticket prices are outrages here too. We get a membership since we go so often and it ends up being way cheaper.

Merry Christmas to everyone as well. Hope everyone has a safe and happy season.

I was watching the show the Goldbergs and the family is Jewish. They have the eldest child back for winter break from college and they are celebrating Hanukkah in the episode. But I remember that Hanukkah isn't always around the Christmas season for when perhaps some colleges break for winter break.

And I had a thought what about the kids who are away from their families at college, maybe far away like out of state. And they don't celebrate Christmas, but instead celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or something else. And they can't be with their family and friends because they still have school and don't get let out yet for winter break. I just find it interesting. I know that a lot of schools are different and have their winter breaks at different times or different time limits on their breaks. So it's going to be different for everyone, but I still find it interesting.
