The Oregon Zoo has zoo lights for Christmas at night time. The place is all decked out, I haven't been in years. It's a fun thing for families. Does any one else zoo dress up for Christmas?

Our Zoo does too! It's beautiful and we go every year. The only downside is that you can't see the animals. They start the week before Thanksgiving and run through mid January before they take them down.

I haven't been to the zoo in years, I always loved to go and see the animals. And it can be a nice place to watch around and enjoy the outside. I think the last time I went was when the first of our baby elephants was born. Which I think was 8-10 years ago because he now has a little sister.
It was cute, the mom hadn't had a baby before and didn't really know what was happening. But she later bonded with her son and loved him dearly. When we were there, you could tell she was getting to the end of her day of dealing with the public. And basically saying this is my son, he's mine, you can all bugger off. __________________

yeah when my nieces were little we took them as they got older (they are 8 & 11) now they no longer enjoy going. so we havent been anymore. plus the zoo isnt exactly close to where we live.

Sounds like a really sweet elephant family
 Our zoo is really close since I live in the suburbs of a major city. I imagine once my kids grow out of it will stop going as well except on rare occasions. |
