I get shipping something that's not going to be canon I have a couple of those, but hating on actual canon ships only because they are canon (which is what they do) out of resentment is really petty and small. The fandom is always the worst. I remember when I watched House and there was the ship war between Huddy and Hameron, and that was annoying but somewhat understandable, but then there were the Hilson shippers that thought they were superior with their so called ship and thought they "won" the war in the end and I always just wanted to

I can now unfortunately say I know someone who'll use the 'I can't be against __ cause I have a relative who is that' card. I feel like I lost hundreds of brain cells yesterday, not to mention got a headache from them constantly talking over us mortals trying to speak sense, and the argument cut into lunch break.

Under a cut due to extreme stupidity & ignorance but I really need to vent.

It all started harmlessly enough with someone bringing up a story of a man fcking a lasagne & then suing Tesco's cause his little wonka got burnt off, and then this stupid idiot came out with a colleague who works with them at Sainsburys & is transgender using the female toilet. As far as they're concerned if yre pre-op & still have the man parts, you should be using the men's bathroom. We pointed out how offensive & hurtful that can be to a trans-person, not to mention dangerous as they could be attacked. So this person asks what'd happen if a trans-person walks into the girls toilet & a Muslim woman is adjusting her hijab. She's exposed herself to a man & that's highly offensive to their culture. We again tried to point out how stupid that example is, not to mention why should one person take priority over another & they threw that back in our face. Then they're like a trans person can use the disabled bathroom, cause if they had a kid using the same bathroom as a transgender they wouldn't be comfortable. Why?? (And warning this is the most offensive part) because a transgender person could try to attack the kid. Like seriously. W.T.F. I pointed out there's always stories about kids being attacked in public bathrooms by people of any gender and sometimes other kids which they just totally ignored. + it could be confusing for children to see a transgender person in the bathroom, and why should they be confused, just because a person decides they want to be different from what they are biologically. We point out it's again not that simple & our Teacher's like 'chromosome's are a Scientific debate & not something you should call fact' & cause all 3 of us were arguing against them they're like 'I'm not against transgender people, I've got a cousin who is' because that seriously makes the world of difference

this is the same person who said she could understand pedophilia even though it is wrong & is basically really fcking stupid. But as far as they're concerned transgender people should be in a separate bathroom from mens/women & unisex bathrooms are really dangerous, ignoring the fact some establishments are moving to unisex & yre own home bathroom is unisex. Thankfully I hardly talk to this person at college cause wtf would I want to, but her overall ignorance is one of the reasons I refuse to tell anyone in my class I'm bi-sexual. My counsellor's all like 'the college is very open minded and we have safe guards in place to protect you' but those 'safe guards' aren't doing so well when you've got a person in class who thinks that transgender people are gonna wait in a bathroom to creep up & attack you

Bright note I finished my assignment today with 4hrs to spare & am now free until Tuesday to finish watching GH and maybe start EMDT

i never feel 100% safe around straight people, aside from a VERY FEW exceptions. even straight people i'm acquaintances with, or co-workers i like, i'm always uncomfortable around them. sorry bb.

you gotta give it to pll. as stupid is the show is and as awful as the fans are, there are NO m/m shippers in the fandom. like, at all, ever.

Anyone who ships non-canon-never-going-to-be-canon m/m, f/f or even m/f and rabidly think the two characters are undoubtedly in love and the writers are writing it, and the actors playing it, as some kind of long game are all as equally annoying as each other imo; from Supercorp shippers to Castiel shippers to Reylo shippers. It's the insistence that their interpretation is the correct one and how we'll all see in the end that annoys me.
