As soon as I heard Carrie Ann Moss was playing a lesbian then JJ already had me signed up. I literally couldn't care what happens on the show, I'm there for Carrie. I've had a crush on her for the better part of 15 years.

Even when she was "evil" in S1 and S2 I was rooting for her, but I think that's because she was bringing a fresh perspective to the show in terms of her attitude to the machine; you couldn't help but be intrigued (if not to some degree sympathetic) towards her endgame. And now she's one of the strongest allies Harold and John could have. Such great writing, and ofc she is played nothing short of perfectly by Amy Acker. I could watch a whole show of just Root by herself tbh.

Omg I hope you enjoyed it! I'm going this Friday opening day. Maybe more than once if I like it enough.

It was so good!! It almost felt like it was too short because it just FLEW by and I stg I was in a complete trance after it ended. Just like ... wow. Incredible. If it doesn't get nominated and win every single award, it'll be the crime of the century. Rooney and Cate were so perfectly cast it's unbelievable.

I know it's not a competition, but IMO this is p much one of, if not the BEST LGBTQ movie I've ever seen. It's the first LGBTQ movie, for me, that I actually rank higher than my personal fave (The Children's Hour). Ugh. I love it. I love it so much. I want to see it again and again and again.

Did you guys read Carol/prince of salt already? Should I buy it before seeing the movie or... ? How "easy" is it to read?

It doesn't matter if you read the book first or see the movie first, because they're honestly so similar. It's an easy read.

my life is basically work-home and I work 12 hour night shifts. I was lucky I was on my day off when the show premiered so I pretty much watched everything in a row that same day so, yeah, I watched the show in the 12 hours I was supposed to be working so it was alright. besides, I have major anxiety issues. I can't just watch one episode when there are +10 other new ones just begging to be watched, unless I'm really not feeling the show. when it's a show I really like, it's basically a death sentence

yep. and have more gratuitous hetero sex scenes. but of course the gay character can't get a proper kiss. and I thought the cop storyline was super annoying by the way (it goes on forever)

I'm on episode four and so far I like it a lot more than Daredevil. Daredevil is good but it's just so heavy and none of the characters besides Rosario Dawson's really interested me.
