I know I am in the minority when I say that I am looking forward to seeing what stories they can bring to life with Ichabod and his search for the new witness from Abbie's bloodline. I do hope they keep James McDaniels as Ezra Mills. I think his knowledge and the storyline he can share with Jenny will be interesting and give some insight as to why he was absent from their (Abbie & Jenny's lives). Also Jenny will need some grounding and hopefully Ezra can provide that to her.

Like I said, I know that my opinion will not be a popular one but I'm excited for what can be if the writers take it in the direction of the letter that Washington left for Crane (and given to Crane by Ezra) then I think there is much to explore.

Well the board can only continue if people keep posting since a lot of fans understandably left the board...
I have no feelings about the renewal, and I'm not relived, or even happy. So... yeah.
I'll wait to see the spoilers before Season 4 to see if I'll be watching it because right now, it seems like I won't be.

Well FOX did their fall 2016-2017 lineup....seems that Sleepy Hollow won't begin until sometime in 2017 and will be 13 weeks.....not sure what to make of that......

"a variety of factors led to the ending” and that it was “not a decision we wanted to make” but “we were put in a position where we had to make it.” I've heard before and seen several articles a couple of years ago that towards the end of season 1, Nicole was not happy with doing a series and wanted out. However because all new series start with a 5 yr contract and since SH was renewed for a 2nd season by their 3rd episode of the 1st year, she was locked in. Getting out of those contracts especially with such a runaway hit that SH was, is almost impossible. It can be done but it is a very, very expensive process for the actor/actress wanting to exit. Of course hindsight is what it is but maybe, just maybe the reason that Ichabbie never happened was because of what was and wasn't happening with respect to her contractual obligations to the show and TPTB not wanting to introduce that aspect to the show if the actress wasn't going to stick around. I'm a firm believer that if a show has such chemistry as Tom and Nicole had, they would be stupid not to nourish that and let it blossom especially since the fandom wanted it so bad (I've never been a shipper but I understand their draw to what obviously was there). However if Nicole wanted out as early as the end of season 1 but FOX and TPTB were unwilling to do so, maybe this is why there was the almost abrupt shift towards the CFD during season 2 which really made no sense when you think about it.

Either way, I think that FOX is hoping that some of the discord will die down and that by January 2017 they will be able to launch the re-reboot of the series. I'm hopeful it will take off and do well. I think FOX is of the same mindset based on their comments. While not committing to this being the final season, I would think that they a couple of more seasons under their belt before they pull the plug. Who knows, maybe going back to 13 episodes will be the key for them. The first 13 episodes proved lucky, maybe this will be as well.
