In "Necromancer", we saw the events that transpired to turn Abraham's destiny into that of the Horseman of Death, but didn't really say what Abraham got out of the deal.

From Andy's comment in "Necromancer" (when Abraham was about to kill Ichabod in the Freemason's cell) we can infer that retribution or revenge was not part of the deal ("... No, Moloch forbids it."). Then in "Bad Blood" Henry says," Now that the Witnesses are separated, there is nothing to stop us from breaking the Second Seal and fulfilling a promise made long ago to an old friend." Then Abraham takes Katrina. Granted, it is an interpretation by me that "long ago" means 200 plus years. Since Henry was not there when Abraham was turned to the Horseman, he is not the one who made that promise. Moloch is the only one who would make that promise, and once the contract was made, it is not likely the promise of Katrina was included later.

So, from what we have seen and heard, I believe Abraham sold his soul to Moloch with Katrina as payment.

Joe, you also spoke about "separating the two witnesses" and then being able to break a seal and fulfill a promise. I wonder (looking into the new episode that ran 11-3) if that promise was to bring Mollloch to earth they way it was handled in that epi.

Also, the Horsemen are in the process of being separated. Fighting amongst each other and maybe even fighting against their big boss.
