I ship them as friends and I'm open to and hoping for more, but yes to this. As long as they are both alive and keep bonding, I'm happy.


And I'm ready for the finale, but I'm not. The wait for the next season will be torture.

Um.. I ship them and have for some time, actually, since their first scene together because I think Emily and Norman have amazing chemistry. I never thought this ship, which once was a crack ship for me would become cannon and while I think if Beth lives they'll go the romantic route judging by Kirkman, Norman and Emily interviews. Right now I'm just happy for what we have gotten so far.

It is, seeing as I didn't see this potential, well back then they didn't even have that, but I didn't see the crack ship happening, because as a viewer I saw hints of Carol and Daryl but then Norman comes out and talks about how Carol is more like a sister and he went to the powers that be and fought against a romance. Fast forward to Paley Fest and seeing Emily and Norman's chemistry once again showing up I thought maybe, just maybe they'll become friends because at that time they maybe had one or two scenes and then the hug happened and almost overnight the interviews started to come out
And question if Beth was going to be Daryl's love interest and we all know what happened in the second half of season 4

anyway, so the point being is yes the one and only ship I have ever shipped on this show became cannon "Friendship wise" and now possibly romance come season 5 granted Beth and Daryl are alive.

It is, but it's like the best when you're like I could totally ship that, but it'll never happen. Then, BAM there it is.


I didn't know that about Norman going to the writers. I always thought they'd go there with Carol/Daryl even though I only ever saw friendship chemistry. With these two, I actually see both romantic and friendship chemistry. And it was instant. I marathoned this season and it hit me from the first scene they shared. It was just like, whoa. Now, I hate that I didn't wait til after summer to marathon like I usually do. The writers would be crazy to waste the story potential for both characters separately and together.
