I still get frustrated if I think about it too much. And to think, I used to be such a fan of the show.

Definitely, I'll always love Beth and D/B but even looking at the show as whole, it's not even close to what it used to be.

I never really thought it was all that great but I did enjoy it at one point. Now I just care about certain people. And even a couple of those are not enough to get me to keep watching without Beth.

Oh I agree, I never thought it was as great as some people make it out to be, like I never thought it was Emmy-worthy at all, even in season 4, but I did think it was a good watch and I enjoyed tuning in every week. Starting in season 5, maybe even in season 4 with the Gov. eps., I found it a little bit more tedious and it definitely seems like that's continued to be the case in season 6. Not to mention how repetitive it has become now.
Personally, I was never really attached to anyone, except maaaaaybe Maggie and Michonne. Now Maggie just bugs me and is basically a complete non-entity on the show. It seems like Michonne has her moments but they seem to be few and far between. Definitely not enough for me to keep watching. I was never a huge Daryl fan. ( shocking I know) That's why it bugs me when people say Beth was only liked because of him, because I'm the exact opposite. __________________

That is pretty much how it was for me. I never found it award worthy or oh this is so amazing! But I did watch it and it was interesting enough.
I never really paid attention to any of the characters (as in I watched all of them but none I connected with). I did like Daryl and Rick but not enough. Then Beth came along and she was the first character I connected with on this show. Then they gave her something and then nothing. That drives me crazy too! I did/do like Daryl but it was Beth that actually made me like him even more because we got to see different sides to him. And honestly I prefer Beth to Daryl. Though no surprise there. |

Exactly.
That was pretty much me as well. Beth was the first and only character I love. It pisses me off. Way to generalize. I was pretty indifferent to Daryl until they paired him with Beth. I think that opened my eyes to both of them as characters, I loved the way he opened up to her and the growth he showed around her. __________________

Exactly. It was nice to see a different side to Daryl. They really bring out the best in each other.
Almost time for a new thread. Where's Effy with her titles? __________________

His face when she asked don't you think that's beautiful... OMG! You saying that brought that scene to mind.
Right? Come on Effy! School must have a hold on her... or Halloween.... |

Both of their faces in that scene. The way he would look at her. They could say so much with their eyes.

They really, really could. Are there any other characters on the show who could speak to one another through their eyes like they could? I don't think so. Why would they waste that?
Maybe we can turn the eyes thing into a title? Yeah boooo school! __________________
