Beth Greene As the apocalypse started, Beth had been sheltered from the chaos surrounding her. At first, Beth is rather timid, pessimistic, and keeps her emotions to herself, but after being forced to see her mother's death and horrific reanimation, Beth finally breaks down and a different part of her is shown. She tells her sister, Maggie, that she wants to commit suicide. However, after a minor attempt she has a change of heart and decides to live. With the support from her father and sister, Beth regains her will to live and since then, becomes even more assertive

So I saw we were on the 300th posts with my post in the last thread so I went a head and started a new one. I tried to wait a bit and see if someone else was going to but didn't seem like so went ahead.

I also just went with the quote from the last gif posted but if you all want me to change it to something else just let me know.

This is perfect Heather. Thanx for the new thread. Norman always talking about Still makes me so happy but the fact that he told a college class that the episode "Still" was his favorite of the whole series

IKR!! And it was so absolutely pointless. It didn't play into the story or was some logical conclussion.

And yes! I love he keeps bringing up Still and even said it was his favorite. Even after all of S5 had aired.

Exactly. Her death came out of nowhere and the fact they made Beth stab Dawn with a pair of ****ty ass small scissors in a protected place on her shoulder is so ****ing laughable. That's so stupid of the writers to do that. And why would Beth even do that in the first place? She was almost free. If she really wanted to help Noah they could have went back for him or been like no. You don't get to keep him. He's a human being. Or better yet the group could have been smart and not brought Noah to the hostage exchange. Coda is such a ****ing mess of stupidity.

And yeah I don't see the point of developing DB the way they did just to turn around and do this. Yes it is a show about death but Beth's character was all pointing to survive. Plus the show needs actual characters and stories not just death and gore. The only reason I could think of is to make Daryl go through pain again. SO of course let's kill off the woman and make Daryl sad again.

I also think kay added you on the last thread too. I don't remember adding anyone when I started the thread.

Glad to see someone think like me.
And yes, it's about survival and the death that comes with it, but what's the point of killing off people we got to know, just to replace them with new once? Nothing against new people, but that doesn't mean you have to kill of old ones/original characters.
And dying, yes it happens in that world, more often than not, but that still doesn't make this not screwed up in every possible way.
It would have made more sense, if Carol hadn't survived being hit by that car. Besides not everyone those psychos ran over can have survived.

Arg... thinking about that just gets me angry.

And as long as I'm added, I'm good.

Sometimes I think maybe it was all Norman and Emily that made Daryl/Beth a thing but if that was the case a good group of writers would have recognized that chemistry and used it to their advantage. The couple in your icon is a great example of that.

I sort of hate that we are still trying to figure out what the hell the point of everything was. I wish tptb would at least address the backlash but for some reason they seem to hate us.

Effy - I haven't seen episodes 2 or 3 yet but through tumblr I guess I kinda have. It sucks she wasn't in episode 3 aside from the hallucination but I'm not going to hate on too much since Kate isn't the only one that has happened too. Plus I ****ing love the hallucination scene. Whether it was Santanico or just the heroin we are still seeing 100 percent Seth's desires and fears. And when she was there, touching his face, and saying she could never leave him he looked so happy and content. Plus the fact he still called her partner. But I better stop there as this is not the thread to get into a discussion for another show.

And I probably could have went on for a little bit longer.

BoneLady - Yep I think all of the ones who mainly post here agree it was all bull****.

So definitely glad you started posting with us.

And yeah they kill off certain ones to make them seem like they are so bold in killing off whoever they have but it's them going for shock value and "anyone can die" when we all know that's bull****.

I seriously don't know how Carol did survive. But I won't really get into that on this thread.

True. All of it.
I can only think that the writers meant to show a growing friendship there; the undertones were all Emily and Norman.
But even as just a friendship there would have been so much potential.
So, no matter what, they completely ruined it.

Oliver and Felicity are a great example, aren't they? First Felicity was only supposed to be in one episode, but people loved her and the instant chemistry she had with Oliver.
And everyone loved Emily, so they decided to keep her.
