Great news!

Yeah it is absolutely random that we have Starz because we don't have HBO or Showtime. But we recently got some new channels and I guess Starz was part of the package. So yup, I was extremely happy when I saw that! I am so excited for tonight's episode and the whole season.

I also went and bought the first book! I haven't started reading it yet though.

Yeah I never know if I should read the book first or watch the show/movie.

Well it depends if knowing what happens ruins the show. For me, it doesn't, and the anticipation of certain events and how it'll translate onto the screen only enhances my enjoyment.

Read the book, Diana does a masterful job writing the story and it deserves to be appreciated on its own. Her descriptions of a room, hall, and countryside are beautiful and Ron Moore only ratcheted up to gorgeous!

It really is that good of a novel. The series does the book justice.

Yeah I'll probably read first I have a feeling once I start, I won't be able to stop.

It's a gradual buildup then BAM! Action packed and page-turner.

I tend to watch first and then read so I'm not that disappointed. "They didn't do this right... They skipped this...etc." But I read most of these books ages ago, so not doing what I usually do this time around! I've forgotten a lot of the details, though, so I am rereading book 1 right now to remember the series.

This episode was SO much better than the first. I liked the first episode, don't get me wrong, but it was kind of slow-paced and didn't pick up towards the end. This episode was really good.

And Jamie/Claire have fantastic chemistry.

I'm loving this show, it's not often that I watch an episode more than twice. For this I watched ep 1 and 2 more than twice.

I liked the flashforwardbacks, it helped show us Claire's inner thought instead of just her talking about it. I also liked that she screwed up the interrogation. Shows me she's not perfect ans is lost in a new world. She's done a better a job than I would've have, if that happened to me.

I think Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are doing great in their parts. They really take me into this world which is what actors are supposed to do.
