Nominations are tomorrow morning...I have a feeling I'll be disappointed. Like always.
Let's hope for some surprises! Anyone want to put their dream nominees here? I'll post mine too __________________

The nominations are at 11:30 Et/8:30 Pt -- still haven't aired yet!
They really do nomination the same shows and people every single year. I honestly think the Emmy Academy is the most frustrating of them all. Especially now that there are so many amazing shows on TV. Such fresh talent. I care about Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, Outlander, Tatiana Maslany, The Americans, American Crime Story: OJ vs People, Billions, Robin Wright, Viola Davis, Kyle Chandler. __________________

The Americans getting nominated was the biggest and best surprise. It's like someone finally listened. I hope Keri Russell wins
All I need now is Caitriona Balfe! I won't get my hopes up, but they did eventually get Tatiana Maslany right. So happy for Kit Harrington, Lena Heady, Emila Clarke, Maisie Williams, and Peter Dinklage! Really disappointed in the lack of noms for Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend -- they don't take The CW seriously. __________________

Yeah, but I was hoping Rachel Bloom would be recognized. She is a power-house on the show. And of course, Gina as Jane And Rogelio/Jamie - he deserves so much recognition too.
Happy CXG got some nominations though I am just so, so happy for Keri I've loved her for so long and she is seriously outstanding on The Americans. There was an episode this year where she completely went there -- it was chilling. __________________

So happy with the nominations especially for The Americans. When they read Matthew's name, I was like "FREAKING FINALLY" and knew that the show will be nominated as well. I'm also happy for GoT, Mr. Robot, Tatiana (YAY!), Fargo & The Night Manager (Tom, Hugh & Olivia were A+).
I'm really bummed that Outlander was snubbed again. Granted, I didn't enjoy S2 so much but still, when is this show going to get recognized (more importantly, Cait & Sam)? UGH. And without mentioning the shows names, some of those nominated for Drama & Comedy should not be nominated anymore, it's getting stale/their current seasons were meh. Quote:

I haven't watched The Night Manager yet -- I may have to watch it now
Same, when they called Matthew's name I literally cheered in my cube. And then we got Keri and I was elated and knew we'd get a series nomination. The Americans getting so many nominations makes up for some of the snubs. Season 2 wasn't as good, I'll agree, but I thought the finale was amazing along with the premiere and a few episodes in the middle. And Cait continuously carries the show and puts her heart into the everything she does. If she would have gotten in for "Faith", she'd be my winner. Now it's between Tatiana and Keri for me. I'll mention the shows I watch all of the shows nominated for best series except Better Call Saul and I agree that some shows shouldn't be in there anymore. Homeland is an enjoyable show and freakishly relevant but I don't think it's anything original anymore. I don't think Downton Abbey can compare to a lot of the new programming either. House of Cards is a little stale for me too but I'm pretty ok with that nomination because S4 was very good imo. I'm so pleased with Game of Thrones, The Americans, and Mr. Robot and I'd be happy if any of them won. As for series I'd add? I'd love if Outlander was recognized, along with The Affair and The Path. All are under-appreciated, especially the last two. And yes, I wasn't expecting Kit or Maisie, but I totally want Kit to win! He was so great this year. __________________

I highly recommend The Night Manager. I haven't started watching UnReal yet. I will start on it after I finish with OITNB.
I agree. I'm so happy for The Americans. They're SO DUE a nomination already. I hate that Outlander was snubbed but then again it's only on it's 2nd season so there's still a chance for them. Sadly, I only watch OB because of Tatiana and she really makes this show for me. I can say the same for Viola on HTGAWM. Yes, either Tat or Keri for me to win! I don't watch Better Call Saul & HOC but I do agree with what you said about Homeland & Downton Abbey. When you look at the drama category as a whole, that's a lot of variety which I think is what the Academy wants. Also I just realized I don't watch a lot of comedy shows. I have to rectify that. Regarding Kit, hell yes. I find it fitting too since it took 6 years for the character to get to this point of development and Kit finally getting the recognition for portraying one of THE best characters on TV right now. His nomination was very well deserved. I want him to win but I don't think he'll win. For me, it's enough that he's (finally) getting the recognition. __________________
