Thanks for the article Lindsay, I think Julian's quite right about writing some romance in for Isobel and Violet, as well as their younger counterparts.

Yes, I agree on what he says about these 'older' women still capable of having a love life. In this day and age, we usually swoon over and care for the younger ones. As long as the story is right, I am all for people like Violet & Isobel finding love again.

If there is no Tom this year, the only reasons I would watch is for Violet and her snark and Isobel to see whether she marries Lord Merton.
Spoiler:

I take that back...I would also watch for a few other people, like Mrs. Hughes 'cos I love her.

It's a good time to catch-up on other shows during this summer hiatus.

Thanks for all the links Lindsay, you've got to love all of Violet's 25 catty comments, I'm sure there's loads more to come.

Feeling optimistic about Tom too Andorra.

Suz, I hope you're enjoying watching S1.

Carrie, I'm looking forward to her catty comments in S6. It's gonna be wonderful.

It's one of the things that's made Downton so enjoyable, all of Violet's great lines, courtesy of JF, and Maggie always delivers them perfectly, no one else could have played that role so well.

Thanks for the links Lindsay, interesting little tease from Elizabeth about a Downton spin off with the 'grandkids,' and some interesting ideas in that article, whether it will happen only time will tell.
