Gabriella and Casey are so set up IDK, I see some chemistry there yet I usually never like the set up couples And I found it very strange that they portrayed his fiance as if she was jealous just because he was talking with Gabriella at the BBQ. I mean they work together and probably talk a lot so I wonder if there was something between them already at one point...

Yep, aside from his pain killer troubles his story seems the most interesting to me too, the one I want to know more about.

Best I can describe this show is ER on acid. It’s just the second episode but I’m loving it even more!

I love that their rescues are not all about fires. I love that the characters are very well hashed out and they have chemistry with each other - all of them, not just the potential ships.

I have a feeling Casey’s fiance/gf is either going to die or stabbed or get into a car accident or whatever.

I don’t get that Kelly and Shay are roommates apparently, but they decide to do their shady business WHILE AT WORK. WTF?? Wouldn’t it be logical if Shay just brought the drugs home with her?? It’s gotta be morphine, right?

Yes, ER but also Third Watch. That´s what I´m comparing it with all the time So I do miss the cop aspect a bit but I really like the cinematography so far, feels quite real.

Also next week seems to involve some cops stuff

I'm trying to like it but it reminds me of The Chicago Code that aired a few seasons back. I like the concept of the show but it's just coming across as bland on paper.

There's too many characters and I can't distinguish between any of the more background ones.

I hate the crush that the paramedic has on Casey given that he's engaged. I never route for those kind of storylines. Having said that I don't get why Casey won't just end it with her since they don't want the same things.

I thought Kelly and Shay had really good chemistry and am disappointed that nothing will happen with them.

I still love Mills the most.

It's all just really boring to be honest. Aside from the few emotional scenes that got me, the show just plods along at snail pace with nothing happening.

I'm having the same problem, except for Kelly and Casey. But at the same time I haven't been giving it 100% of my attention when I watch either. I feel like with new shows that you haven't been following before it airs that it takes a bit to get characters straight.

Wow I loved this ep!

Casey is such a stand up guy OMG. I love him even more!!! Not everybody would do what he did, so hat’s off to him.

That’s pretty tough though. That cop’s pretty ****ed up in the head. He doesn’t know right from wrong anymore. And I get it, he’s doing everything he can for his son, but he didn’t look remorseful or empathetic even to the victims. This is really going to be good! - I love this SL!

Jon Seda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this guy! I’ll always see him as Selena’s husband, so yeah, I love him I have a feeling he’s a dirty cop too, though. Hope I’m wrong.

I love the chief OMG! He’s perfect. Every scene he was in, he was perfect. And I love that he totally has Casey’s back!



And aww, Peter’s mom! I LOVED that moment when the guys came in and automatically hugged her! That’s why I love this show too - it reminds me of NYC firefighters. They’re our family, they’re our heroes, and they’re pretty much revered here in New York. That sense of family and camaraderie is what it’s all about.

That Nikki girl… I’ve seen that actress play an annoying troublemaker you want to slap twice now - the other one was in Political Animals. Granted it was just alluded to in that show, but I hope she’s not being typecast. When I saw her here, I immediately thought “Trouble” and I was right.
