The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Foster (Teri Polo), a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams (Sherri Saum), a school Vice Principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon (David Lambert), and their adopted twins, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Jesus (Jake T. Austin). Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets (Maia Mitchell), a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef warily welcome Callie into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found.

Callie is quick to observe that the Fosters are an atypical family, and her blunt commentary hits a nerve with Jesus and Mariana who are struggling with their own identities. The twins have the opportunity to meet their birth mother, but they aren't sure if they are emotionally ready, or if they want to share the experience with their adoptive moms. Callie also discovers that Mariana is harboring a secret that could land her in serious trouble.

Brandon, a talented musician with a kind soul, lends Callie a hand in navigating the classrooms and social scene at the Fosters' high school, Anchor Beach Community Charter School. He's faced with a tough decision when Callie decides to ditch school to reconnect with someone from her past. What happens next will determine if Stef and Lena made the right choice in taking a chance on Callie, and whether they have room in their home - and their hearts - for one more.

Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, newcomer Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez. Joanna Johnson, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, Benny Medina and Greg Gugliotta will also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Nuyorican Productions, Inc., and Prodco, Inc.

I love the Fosters donut gifs! That's fun and hilarious. I like the donut that was chosen for Teri Polo and the joke about her being a nut. That joke speaks the truth. I like the donuts chosen for Cierra and Maia too.

That was Wyatt's old house where he threw that crazy party. I could tell that it was his old place from the graffiti on the walls.

Also the third and final wave of nominations for the Teen Choice Awards were announced earlier today and The Fosters is tied with PLL for the most nominations, which is 3. In fact here are the categories:

I like to get everyone`s thoughts about the show being nominated in these categories. Personally i`m very happy about it, because it shows how much an impact the show is already making. As for the chances of winning, i think that the show is going to have some very tough competition from Teen Wolf, which has been pretty good so far this season. In the Male TV Star category, i don`t like Jake`s chances in it. In fact i think that David should`ve been nominated since he has had more standout performances than Jake on the show IMO. As for Female TV Star, Maia is very deserving of the award by far after her amazing performance in last night`s episode. Plus she has been more outstanding overall this season than the other ladies. I really hope that the show can win at least one award at the TCA, which i think will help attract even more people to watch the show. Plus i hope that these nominations will be the first of many more awards nominations for The Fosters, which is very deserving of a bunch of awards with how great it is. Anyway everyone can vote for the show here. However voters must be between the ages of 13-19 to vote. So i hope that the younger posters here will be sure to put in their votes for the show. Of course my offer to lie about my age so that i can vote still stands.

THE FOSTERS Hits Series High in Key Female Demo

"The Fosters" (9:00 - 10:00 p.m.)
At 9 o'clock "The Fosters" rose to a series high in Females 12-34 (916,000/2.0 rating) and was its #2 telecast in record in Total Viewers (1.79 million), Teens 12-17 (534,000/2.2 rating) and Female Teens (475,000/4.0 rating).

For the 3rd consecutive week, "The Fosters" ranked as Monday's #1 TV telecast in Female Teens and was the #2 scripted cable TV telecast in Females 12-34.

"The Fosters" qualified as cable TV's #2 scripted telecast in The Hour in Women 18-34 (441,000/1.3 rating), Women 18-49 (645,000/1.0 rating), Viewers 12-34 (1.06 million/1.2 rating) and Females 12-34, and TV's #1 telecast in Teens and Female Teens.

Compared to its series launch, "The Fosters" was up by double digits in key demos, including by 26% in Total Viewers (1.79 million vs. 1.42 million), by 17% in Adults 18-34 (522,000 vs. 445,000), by 10% in Adults 18-49 (783,000 vs. 711,000) and by 47% in Viewers 12-34 (1.06 million vs. 719,000).

I can`t say enough how happy i am that the ratings went up some more for last night`s amazing episode. This is such a testament to how much the fanbase for the show has been steadily growing lately. Great job everyone. Lets keep up the good work and shoot for the two million mark, which is a nice milestone for us to work on. So lets get to work by spreading the word about the show some more, whether it`s around and/or at other social sites like Facebook and tumblr.

I love seeing Stef going into Badass Cop Mode in the promo. It`s long overdue that we get to see that side of her again and i can`t wait to see more of it in the next episode.

In regards to Jude and Connor, i`ve been shipping them very hard since Connor wore the blue nail polish to show support to Jude. Like i`ve said before, they have a ton of potential together, whether if it`s just as friend or something more down the road. Plus it`s pretty obvious how much they have enriched each other lives with Jude finally meeting someone that likes him for who he is and Connor learning to give back to those in need.

Also i`m glad that you love those gifs and seeing Stef in Badass Cop Mode as much as i do. Seeing Stef like that gives us a good idea of why she`s call Tiger Mama, especially with how protective she is of her young. In fact i would love to see her put her skills with the nightstick to good use on Liam if he gets anywhere near Callie

Lastly here`s a nice little interview with Teri along with some gifs of Jesus and Mariana late in Monday`s episode and a great fanvid about the family.



It was nice to get a light moment with Jesus and Mariana after things were pretty bad between them for much of the episode.
