^ Me too. I'm pretty sure I would have crack-shipped Klaus/Bonnie if TPTB hadn't introduced Klaus/Caroline in season three. It did seem like Klaus had a fondness for witches, and since Bonnie was the resident witch, it wouldn't have taken much for me to see something there between them.

I'm not sure but I think I remember back then that Klaus/Bonnie were sort of a possibility but then Klaus/Caroline happened.
Either way, Joseph did had chemistry with both Kat and Candice, so I'm pretty sure I would've shipped Klaus/Bonnie too  __________________

^ I don't remember coming across any Klaus/Bonnie fans excited about the shippy vibes or hints sizzling beneath the surface, but I'm sure there was plenty of buzz about them.
 Agreed!  I feel like I could have shipped or crack-shipped Klaus with every one of the female characters.      __________________

^ I'll buy that. There was that one photo of Joseph and Kat where Joseph was pretending to bite Kat, so that must have gotten the shippy vibes going for the viewers.

I think that back then even Joseph mentioned something about wanting to have Klaus have a relationship with any of the girls, so that could also have fueled some ship vibes

^ That would have definitely fuel some shippy vibes. Joseph knew that getting Klaus a love interest would ensure that he would stick around Vampire Diaries longer than TPTB planned. He certainly knew what he was doing when he started campaigning for it.
I wonder how seriously TPTB considered Klaus/Bonnie as a ship. __________________

Joseph was super smart!!
And it paid off, not only he stuck around for a long time, he also got his very own show  Even though I LOVE Klaroline and am so happy that TPTB went down that road, I confess it that I think Klaus/Bonnie could easily be amazing as well! __________________

^ He sure was.
He knew that the TVD audience would be more invested in Klaus if he was part of a ship. I love that he campaigned to get his character tied with one of the characters. It opened so many doors for him. I agree. I felt a 'Klaus seems to be drawn to witches' vibe, so if TPTB had gone down that path, it wouldn't have taken much convincing to get me on the Klaus/Bonnie ship. __________________
