^ Me too. Clearly Esther trusted Ayana so much so that she knew that Ayana's descendents would always fight to keep the balance. And Klaus knew how powerful the Bennett line was, so he probably knew that Bonnie would be a formidable sparring partner when he encountered her.

^ He was indeed. I loved how fierce Bonnie was when she came face-to-face with Klaus. She held her own against him, and that would have definitely intrigued him...if Klaus could have set aside the fact that she was trying to bring him down.

^ They had a few encounters throughout their three seasons. I was thinking of their few season two encounters where she demonstrated that she had the power to bring him down.

^ Part of me thinks that they would have made a power couple if TPTB had decided to turn their into . Klaus did seem rather fond of witches and Bonnie was a powerful witch. They would have been quite an unstoppable force. =)

^ Oh, yes. I imagine Klaus and Bonnie's dynamic would have been very similar to Klaus' dynamic with Greta. Every time I think about the what-if of Klaus and Bonnie, I just remember Klaus and Greta.

^ No. I meant Greta. She was the witch that we saw by Klaus' side in season two of The Vampire Diaries. She was the girl that performed the spell that broke the curse that was on Klaus. When I want to imagine what a Klaus/Bonnie dynamic would have been like, I think back to how I felt about Klaus and Greta in season two. =)
