Maybe she's been given a script by Rebecca or Alec and she's just going by what they say!

Do you think Annie Hobbs is really nuts? Why would she spend 14 years in a mental institution otherwise? And all those paintings of twins... They must mean something? What can it be?

What if Ted and Alec did know Annie in High School, and she was a friend of Rebecca's instead of Kristens! And the two Annies (Hobbs and Sewell) got into sex and drugs as they were wild girls. They went out and fooled around with Ted and Alec... One of them got pregnant, one wrecked her brain, and voila, two messes to hide. Annie got confused when Annie had twins, and thought they were hers, and painted them for years...

It would also explain Annie Hobbs picture being in the Mercer album, and in the hallway at Phyllis' house. And how Ted knew about Annie Hobbs in the psych clinic.

So, if this happened, which Annie do you think would have been with Ted and which with Alec?

^ That would make sense! I think maybe Alec and Rebecca could have something to do with Annie and her having to spend 14 years in a mental institution. Maybe they didn't want her to cause trouble because she knows something about the secret?

Well, I think Rebecca Annie would have been with Ted, right, if they're the birth parents? Maybe Alec got with the other Annie and he just dumped her one day, and she became crazy!

Oh! That's right! If Annie Hobbs is crazy, then maybe she never had a baby herself. That could be a story she told the girls, or something she was told and now believes. If Alec dumped her, and she was a friend of Annie/Rebecca, and Rebecca gave up her children, and Annie had none, she might have taken Emma, but still always painted the twins.

Because it doesn't make sense that she had one baby who died, and she stole one baby, but she always painted twins? Unless she thought both were dead and painted them together in the stars like that. But it seemed like the girls were twins in the paintings, didn't it?

Later, when Alec found her again he convinced her that Emma had died and that it was her fault. Remember when she said "he told me, they told me... He wouldn't lie to me". So if she was in love with Alec, she would trust him and do what he told her.

Also, Alec had already found Annie and maybe he saw her in the hospital and told her what to say to the twins.

There are so many possibilities
