Right, when Rebecca first came back to town, I think she was talking to Kristin, she made some comments about how different she was now than when she was there before. She said she liked turning heads and being attractive this time, and being strong and not about to let people push her around. I thought I remember Kristen or Phyllis saying the Ted and Alec had bullied 'Annie'Rebecca and hurt her in some way, and that Annie was unpopular in high school.

Maybe they are too different for Rebecca to feel a bond of maternal affection for her. Sutton and Rebecca are like two peas in a pod, Emma and Rebecca are more like chalk and cheese.

Then again I think Rebecca must have been much sweeter once. I think she has hardened up into this spiteful, crush anybody who gets in my way vengeful person since whatever Ted and Alec did to her.

Rebecca probably was a lot like Emma when she was young. Fell in love, had her heart broken, became wiser. Sutton may have been similar, before Ryan. It is possible that Rebecca is taking care of both her girls. If Ethan could cheat on Sutton, maybe he will break Emma's heart. Does Sutton really love Ethan? I still can't think so. her actions have no interest in his welfare. So are she and her mother testing him, or trying to protect Emma from him? IDK.

Maybe Rebecca could be possibly setting up sutton too.. I mean make sutton think this is the way it goes but eventually do something Sutton may not like..

Yes ITA with you on this! Rebecca is running the show. Sutton loves the deviousness, and the fact that she feels special as the only one in the secret. Wether Rebecca is evil or not I don't know. Sutton is pretty sick. Rebecca will have to help her eventually, but I hope she will also protect Emma.

Let's think. Phyllis was Rebecca's older sister. Phyllis tried to help Rebecca, but Rebecca wouldn't have it. Then somehow, Phyllis wouldn't have anything more to do with her. And she was cool to Alec and Ted. Rebecca acted as if they had always been close sisters. There was a conflict in the story told between them. I don't know who was lying. What if Rebecca turned nasty after she was hurt, and struck out at Phyllis among others, and Rebecca's vindictive ways were what caused Phyllis to ban her?

Rebecca was unhappy for a long time, until she decided to make herself happy. I think that happiness revolves around returning home and clearing up the past. Wether to help, or for revenge I don't know
