I think they might actually be good together. They are both so under handed and sneaky, relentless and cold-blooded at the same time as giving off this scary temperament vibe. And it looks like Alec might really have fallen in love with her.

But Rebecca seems way too manipulative to really be in love with Alec. Unless it was Alec she was in love with before, and the whole Ted's picture in the locket was just for sabotage.

I don't know Jessica, I'm torn. It could be Alec himself, he has a finger in every pie. Or Sutton double crossing her mom... or this is part of the scheme that brought Rebecca here in the first place! Maybe she is using the renewal to blackmail Ted!

So, I'm interested to see where these two are going to be at the beginning of Season 2! Is Alec gonna be in jail? Was Rebecca behind it? Will she go to visit him in jail if he is? Geez! So many questions to be answered!

Some possibilities - just for fun

Rebecca actually killed Derek and is framing Alec as the fall guy, thereby gaining merry widow status with a house and cash, and being free to go after Ted, now that she has broken up the Mercer marriage.

Alec actually killed Derek and Rebecca planted phony evidence so that he would be tried, the flaw in the evidence found, and he would be cleared. Then he couldn't be retried. Or she keeps the real evidence hidden to hold over his head like blackmail.
